UNION SQUARE TOKYO will be hosting a one-night-only winemaker's dinner featuring John Olney, the Head Winemaker from Ridge Vineyards, a prestigious and representative winery from California.
Since its establishment in 1962, Ridge Vineyards has built an international reputation for Monte Bello, one of America's foremost Cabernet blends, and its Zinfandel red wines made from vines over 100 years old. They are pioneers in the pursuit of terroir in California and in traditional and sustainable winemaking. Their single-vineyard wines are widely recognized for their exceptionally long aging potential.
After the official retirement (2016) of Paul Draper, the legendary winemaker who brought the founders to global renown, John Olney, who is visiting Japan, became his successor. John, himself a super-elite in the California wine scene, will convey the charm and expressive power of Ridge wines to you without reservation.
